About Canopy & Campfires

Matt Casey is the founder and lead practitioner at Canopy & Campfires, a nature-based intervention service supporting young people through relational, wilderness-based programmes.

He is a qualified Level 3 Forest School Leader with additional training in outdoor therapeutic practice, and is currently completing the NCFE CACHE Level 3 Qualification in Advanced Wilderness Therapeutic Approaches (2025).

Matt brings over 20 years of experience as a mentor for young people, and has spent the past 10 years independently designing and delivering outdoor programmes that promote emotional development, confidence, and personal growth..
